Mher Grigoryan Receives PRC Ambassador
Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan today received Fan Yong, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of China to the Republic of Armenia.
Congratulating the Ambassador on the appointment, the Deputy Premier wished him every success in his future activities. Mher Grigoryan briefed the Ambassador on the situation and the socio-economic problems faced amid the global pandemic and following the war. Taking the opportunity, Mher Grigoryan thanked the Ambassador for the Chinese government’s assistance rendered to Armenia in the fight against COVID-19.
Thankful for the reception, the Chinese diplomat said there are all necessary prerequisites for developing multifaceted ties between the two countries, including people-to-people contacts. The opportunities for boosting economic interaction and tapping the existing potentialities were highlighted on both sides.
Reference was next made to regional developments. The Deputy Prime Minister presented the benefits of facilitated mobility for citizens of those countries that have joined the Covid-19 Free Travel program. The need for mass vaccination against the coronavirus was discussed and the importance of cooperation with international partners was emphasized in this context.
