Tigran Avinyan Receives Lufthansa Group Senior Director for Business Development
On July 14, Acting Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Avinyan received Director-Business Development at Lufthansa Group Rene Koinzack. Armenian Ambassador to Germany Ashot Smbatyan and German Deputy Ambassador to Armenia Klaus Wendelberger were in attendance.
Noting that aviation is among the sectors most affected by the global pandemic, the Acting Deputy Prime Minister said the availability of vaccines will help improve the state of affairs in this area and air communication will soon be restored between countries. Tigran Avinyan stressed that the increased level of passenger traffic will contribute to economic activity and the growth of tourism.
Issues related to cooperation with air carriers, flight destinations and the development of Armenia’s civil aviation were discussed during the meeting.
Highlighting the need for new flight destinations, the Acting Deputy Prime Minister expressed the Government’s readiness to provide maximum support for the development of air communications.
