Deputy Prime Minister Suren Papikyan visited the Governorate of Gegharkunik Province on September 13, introducing the newly appointed Governor Karen Sargsyan to the staff, community heads and heads of infrastructures.

The Deputy Prime Minister thanked the former Governor of Gegharkunik, currently holding the position of the Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure Gnel Sanosyan for his work, noting that he led the Province for three years in a responsible manner.

Introducing Karen Sargsyan, he noted that the latter led the Water Committee of the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure for a long time, before that played a responsible role in the water sector in Gegharkunik Province. Congratulating Karen Sargsyan on the appointment to the new post, Suren Papikyan wished him success and expressed readiness to assist in the realization of every good goal.

Gnel Sanosyan said it was a great honor to lead his native region, emphasizing that he had the opportunity to be useful with his experience, knowledge and skills. He thanked for the opportunity, describing the period of working together as difficult but full of achievements in different areas of the community. He wished success to the newly appointed Governor in solving difficult problems for the benefit of the region and its population.

Karen Sargsyan thanked for trusting him such a responsible position, noting that the region will develop in accordance with the Government Action Plan, and all the promises will come into reality in the foreseeable future.
