Deputy Prime Minister Suren Papikyan's congratulatory message on the occasion of Teachers’ Day
Dear teachers,
I heartily congratulate you on Teachers’ Day.
The profession of a teacher has always been valued and properly appreciated in our society. Due to that, there is a lot of respect for both the teacher as an individual and a specialist. The teacher bears the burden of the most honorable work in the society - to educate and bring up the young generation, to make them a responsible, unbreakable citizen. It is the teacher who determines the future of our state with his daily work, the future of our state is built based on the knowledge he gives, our future victories will be built with his educated generation.
Today Armenia is in a new stage of comprehensive reforms in the field of education and science, where the starting point is competitive knowledge, striving for international standards and providing quality professional resources. The commitment of the Government of the Republic of Armenia to provide the necessary conditions for the organization of education also serves this goal. In this context, I would like to emphasize that the large-scale construction of new seismic schools is underway in Armenia, while the Government has undertaken to build and renovate 300 schools and 500 kindergartens in its 5-year Action Plan for 2021-2026.
Leadership in the modern world belongs to new technologies, new ideas, new initiatives, the first sower of which is the pedagogical community, which at the same time awakens in students love for learning and quenches the thirst for knowledge. I am convinced that the educational reforms we have undertaken will yield positive results, in this context the role of the teacher will be more emphasized both in the field of education and in our daily relations.
Dear teachers,
I once again congratulate you on your professional holiday, wishing you good health, happiness and new professional achievements. Your mission is lasting, future-oriented and bright. In this honorable mission, I am sure you will make extra efforts every day in that honorable mission, feeling a great public responsibility. Despite the current difficult conditions, I am confident that as a result of your energy and dedication, we will have a patriotic, self-confident and educated generation that will be ready to face the challenges of the day and be a worthy citizen of our own country.
