PM calls on competent authorities to be consistent in countering drug market abuses
A regular Cabinet meeting was held today, chaired by Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan. Before proceeding to the agenda, Minister of Healthcare Armen Muradyan reported back the findings of a drug market survey carried out on Prime Minister’s instructions. The market prices of 54 common drugs were said down by 1.4% as of March, 2016 as compared to last December. By Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan’s decisions, David Karapetyan and Haykaram Mkhitaryan were relieved of the office of Deputy Minister of Territorial Administration and Emergency Situations of the Republic of Armenia to serve as deputy ministers of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Armenia.
In accordance with Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan’s decision, Armen Alaverdyan and Arthur Afrikyan were discharged from the posts of deputy ministers of the Republic of Armenia to serve as first deputy chairmen of State Revenue Committee by the Government of the Republic of Armenia. The Prime Minister signed another decree to appoint Armen Sakapetoyan Deputy Chairman of State Revenue Committee of the Republic of Armenia.

Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan sent a condolence cable to Russian Premier Dmitry Medvedev in connection with the crash of Boeing 737-800 at the airport of Rostov-on-Don, which claimed the death of more than 60 people. On behalf of the Government of the Republic of Armenia and himself, the Prime Minister expressed deepest condolences and asked to convey words of sympathy and support to the families and friends of the victims.
