On September 2, RA Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan will leave for the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic to attend the NKR independence 17th anniversary celebrations. The prime minister-led delegation will comprise the RA ministers of finance, economy, transport and communications, as well as a number of other dignitaries.

Armenia Social Investment Fund (ASIF) Council met at the Office of Government under the chairmanship of head of council, RA Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan. The Council has discussed the report on ASIF activities for the first 8 months and the 2nd quarter of 2008 under a 3rd lending program. RA Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan sent a condolence message to Prime Minister of the Republic of Kyrgyzstan Igor Chudinov on the plane crash of August 24 in Kyrgyzstan, which states in part: "On behalf of the RA government and myself, I extend deep condolences on the crash of Boeing-737 near to Manas international airport which took dozens of human lives. RA Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan welcomed a delegation of US-based Children of Armenia Fund (COAF), led by founder and BOT chair Karo Armen. The delegation was composed of Fund president Andranik Sargissian, Armenia office programs coordinator Ovsannah Yeghoyan, BOT members, philanthropists and friends. The message states in part: "We were saddened to hear about the air crash that occurred in Madrid airport leading to several casualties. RA Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan received a delegation headed by President of Russian Kristal Company Maxim Shkadov. Discussed were issues concerning the Armenian-Russian diamond processing cooperation as outlined in the memorandum signed between Kristal Company and Armenia-based DCA Company in March last.
