Coronavirus Situation Update

Tests have confirmed 12 new cases of the novel coronavirus in the Republic of Armenia as of March 17, 12:00 local time. 6 cases are associated with the one identified in Vagharshapat (Etchmiadzin), while the other 6 patients are associated with a case identified at a manufacturing plant in Yerevan. Mher Grigoryan attends EAEC Board meeting in video conference mode

Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan today attended an EAEC Board meeting, which was held in a video conference mode. On the initiative of the Armenian side, the meeting decided to set 0% customs duty for imports of medical supplies and protective equipment from third countries over a period of six months. It was also decided to refrain from charging customs duties on imports of electric cars from third countries until the end of 2021.
