www.gov.am and www.e-gov.am websites presented
Head of Republic of Armenia Government Staff David Sargsyan gave a news conference to present the RA government’s renovated www.gov.am and newly launched www.e-gov.am websites. David Sargsyan noted that there were two reasons behind the renovation of www.gov.am website: to have a dynamic site and achieve maximum transparency. Another improvement was the change in the design of the website: instead of the former red background the site is made out in orange which symbolizes one of the three colors featuring on Armenia’s national flag.
The new site has the advantage of featuring headline-adapted alternating images on the home page. Another innovation is the video section which offers video materials concerning not all press releases.
David Sargsyan emphasized that “Hraparakum” documentary series will henceforth be available for viewing on the website which formerly used to be posted on www.youtube.com with some changes. The website enables its subscribers to get the updates of other sections as well.
The “Information Center” section features a “Press about Us” subsection where one can learn of what the press writes about the government’s activities.
Next, the head of government staff presented www.e-gov.am website which is the first-ever attempt to bring together on a single site those online services offered by the government. There is an Interactive Budget section which provides details of budget expenditures.
“This is only the first step: we are far from claiming that the website is already complete and provides answers to all the questions of its visitors. This is why work is underway toward combining all existing electronic services in a single place,” David Sargsyan said and added that the website will be replenished with new facilities over the next few months.
