Continued innovations in the system of e-governance
A briefing by Chief of Government Staff David Sargsyan was held today in the press center of the government, entitled “E-governance: innovations in the system of e-governance.”
E-governance was said to be high not only on the government’s agenda, but also on President Serzh Sargsyan’s electoral program. It seeks to enhance the transparency of government activities and offers simplified services to the business circles. According to David Sargsyan, first urban development-related applications have already been filed online via the system of e-governance.
For the time being, licensing fees will continue to be paid through the banking system pending the launch of card-operated settlements within a month’s time.
Online services are available via www.e-gov.am website, including the receipt of licensing applications and tax returns. The website grants the possibility of electronic registration of patents and trade marks with the Agency of Intellectual Property of the Republic of Armenia.
The Chief of Government Staff further noted: “The electronic system of State Registry will be presented within the next few weeks enabling electronic registration of businesses within some 15-20 minutes.”
During the briefing, David Sargsyan spoke about the other achievements and benefits of www.e-gov.am website.
