All Sectors Due To Grow This Year Safe Construction

At a press conference that followed today’s government sitting, Minister of Economy Tigran Davtyan said that all economic sectors will boast a double-digit growth by yearend to provide a solid groundwork for economic development and revenue collection. This will be a strong asset for the government to embark upon its 2012 activities.

As he said, at this point industry boasts a 12% growth which is expected to be continued through this yearend: “The same is true for agriculture and services. Exports grew 30% that is above the nationwide figure. We have serious progress in foreign investments with 20% more injections against what we had last year. I think that except for sphere of construction where the general recession is not overcome yet, in all other spheres we will have a two-digit growth,” Tigran Davtyan noted.

According to the minister, inflation is down too. “We are confident that by yearend we shall have met the target specified in the State budget and our macroeconomic forecasts. Early this year the gap between wage growth and inflation went down sharply, and we will try to achieve the best salary-inflation growth ratio.

The recently stated positive trends - macroeconomic indices, GDP growth, decreased inflation, provide optimism as for economic development in our country. As I am confident that can keep up these figures, I believe that we will have serious progress,” the minister said.

According to Tigran Davtyan, the government is closely following the global economic developments: “Having witnessed some positive shifts this morning, we hope that things will go in the right direction. Nevertheless, we should be possibly prepared for any course of events.

In this connection, we have already saved up enough experience and we know in what situation what actions should be undertaken,” Tigran Davtyan said in conclusion.
