David Sargsyan Presents Ongoing Public Sector Reform
“The Government continues reforming the public sector in a bid to facilitate and improve the quality of services, reduce deadlines, enhance transparency, introduce the one-stop shop principle and electronic control systems,” Chief of Government Staff David Sargsyan told the news conference which was held today at the Government’s Press Center. The speaker singled out 3 priority areas.
In particular, a new section referred to as Statements by Licensed Persons is now available at www.e-gov.am to enable online processing of reports submitted by licensed persons (www.e-gov.am/licenses-reports/):
According to David Sargsyan, the new section makes it possible for those economic entities engaged in public safety, healthcare, agriculture, education, environmental protection, transport, urban development, lotteries and gambling houses to file electronic statements with licensing authorities through the system of online reporting.
The Chief of Government Staff further noted that in order to ensure transparency, the Government had adopted a decision providing that the www.e-gov.am/control_chamber/ should henceforth contain the findings of the Armenian Control Chamber relevant to the surveys carried out with different public agencies, as well as information on such remedy actions as have been taken by public authorities.
David Sargsyan advised that the government has also passed a series of other decisions which provide that from February 10, 2013, the citizens can apply to corresponding government agencies and get by registered mail a number of reference documents, including information on family status, consular validation, criminal record and so on.
