Government Passes Export Development-Oriented Decisions
Today the Government adopted two important decisions aimed at promoting Armenian exports.
This is what Minister of Economy Tigran Davtyan told the news conference held today at the Press Center of the Government.
Note that the today’s cabinet sitting approved a program and an action plan for implementation of the Government’s export-oriented industrial strategy in 2013.
With another decision, the government authorized the Ministry of Economy to form a working group with the objective of drafting the founding documents of Export Financing Insurance Organization CJSC (EFIO) and take measures necessary for registering and licensing the company.
According to Tigran Davtyan, the strategy of export-oriented industrial policy seeks to stimulate industrial development, promote investment and boost exports.
The main purpose of the activities outlined in the strategy of export-oriented industrial policy of the Republic of Armenia is the formation of new economic growth engines in the long run.
Note that AMD545m has been earmarked for the program of State support in 2013, of which nearly AMD328m will be used to attract well-known international organizations engaged in industry, subsidize business loans, as well as to promote Armenian products on target markets, co-finance international certification and participation in international trade fairs and other purposes.
