New Housing Due For Residents Of Zvartnots Airport-Adjacent Territory
“This year a priority tasks for the General Directorate of Civil Aviation (DGCA) by the Government of the Republic of Armenia will be to provide new housing to the owners of residential buildings next to Zvartnots international airport and those actually domiciled in the former dormitories,” Head of DGCA Artyom Movsisyan told the news conference, which was held today at the Government Press Center. He noted that accordingly new residential buildings will be built in Malatia –Sebastia community district of Yerevan.
According the speaker, a total of USD 4mn will be invested to build new blocks of flats for 176 families.
“During the talks, all the beneficiaries proved supportive of the program as the proposed conditions are much better than what they have today: they will get at least 20-25 percent more living space,” Mr. Movsesyan added.
Another priority task is to train commercial pilots in Armenia. It is expected to bring to completion the flying practice of Air-Training Center’s pilot-students, whereby the pilots will have qualified for the requirements of international air carriers.
