215 Earthquake-Hit Homeless Families to Get Housing Certificates
The Government decided to allocated AMD1.5 billion to Shirak Marz administration to address through the provision of vouchers the housing needs of those Gyumri-based households left homeless following the earthquake of 1988.
Minister of Urban Development Narek Sargsyan told the Government Press Center-hosted news conference following today’s Cabinet sitting that certificates will be offered to 215 families under the first stage of the program. 252 more households will get housing vouchers during the second stage of the program.
The Minister noted that the Government of Armenia is going to resolve the housing problems still available in the disaster zone over the next couple of years.
