The Government approved a resolution that will enable water users to get free irrigation water for 80 thousand hectares of arable land.

At the Government Press Center-hosted press conference that followed today’s Cabinet meeting, Head of Ministry of Agriculture-affiliated State Water Committee Aram Haroutunyan reported that in order to prevent the spring overflow of rivers during the month of May, Sevan-Hrazdan Water Supply CJSC and Akhurian-Arax Water Supply CJSC were allowed to supply irrigation water free of charge, which is important to support farmers.
