Co-Chairs of the U.S. House of Representatives Congressional Caucus on Armenian Issues Frank Pallone and Joe Knollenberg have congratulated Serzh Sargsyan on his victory in Armenia's presidential election. The congratulatory message states in part:
"Dear President Sargsyan:
We are writing to congratulate you on your success in the February 20, 2008 presidential election in Armenia.
Armenia continues to prove its commitment to free and fair elections. The presidential race was noted as transparent and democratic by international oversight organizations, including the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe. The positive nature of the election will ensure a deepening of US-Armenia relations and improve the country's international reputation as a sound democracy.
As the Co-Chairs of the U.S. House of Representatives Congressional Caucus on Armenian Issues, we look forward to working with you to help address the important issues facing Armenia.

On his victory in Armenia's presidential election, Serzh Sargsyan received congratulations from the Office of Executive Director for Armenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Georgia, Israel, Macedonia Montenegro, Moldova, The Netherlands, Romania and Ukraine. The congratulatory message of Head of Office Herman Wijffels states in part:

Herewith I would like to congratulate you with your election to the position of President of the Republic of Armenia and wish you a lot of success in dealing with your new endeavors.
